Favorite Books, Writers, Genres: Too numerous to mention but if I have to pick: American Pastoral by Philip Roth, The Hours by Michael Cunningham and anything by Don DeLillo or Dostoyevsky. I'm reading The Collected Stories by Amy Hempel and it's wonderful. I can't believe I've never read her work before., See above. Although I enjoy comedies, I lean more toward dramas with a social message.
